How to play
Use Meniscus Mark to isolate scale reading and delivered-volume subtraction. The model shows a 50 mL buret with 0.1 mL printed divisions and a transparent aqueous liquid with a concave meniscus.
Direct reading
- Confirm that the printed values increase downward.
- Find the two tenth-milliliter marks surrounding the lowest point of the curve.
- Estimate one more digit between those marks.
- Enter the result to two decimal places and select Check answer.
- Read the explanation before moving to the next generated value.
Learn mode adds an eye-level guide and cycles through deliberate release values. Quick 10 creates a ten-question summary. Endless continues until you select Finish session.
Delivered volume
- Read the Initial buret to two decimals.
- Read the Final buret to two decimals.
- Subtract initial from final.
- Round only the final difference to the hundredth place.
Do not add the two readings. The scale increases downward, so a larger final reading normally represents liquid delivered from the buret. The feedback can distinguish an addition error from a precision issue.
Touch, keyboard and replay

Scientific boundary
This model applies only to the transparent aqueous concave-meniscus case shown. Dark or opaque liquids, convex menisci, differently graduated burets and digital instruments may require other reading conventions. Follow your teacher, laboratory procedure, safety rules and real equipment markings.
